Vrasidas Karalis is Associate Professor in Modern Greek Studies at the University of Sydney. He has published books on Patrick White and Nikos Kazantzakis, and has received awards for his translations of White. His new book, Recollections of Mr Manoly Lascaris, is published by Brandl & Schlesinger.
