Katherine Gallagher is a widely-published Australian-born poet resident in London since 1979. She has five full-length poetry collections, most recently Carnival Edge: New & Selected Poems (Arc Publications, 2010). Gallagher has received numerous awards for her work. including the Warana Prize, a Royal Literary Fund Award, and a Foundation Award from the LondonSociety of Authors. She translated Jean-Jacques Celly’s epic poem Le Somnambule aux Yeuxd’Argile published by Forest Books (1994) as The Sleepwalker with Eyes of Clay. She has read her poetry at festivals and universities in the UK, Australia, Germany, Italy and France and her poems have been translated into French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Romanian and Serbian.
