Marika Vicziany is Professor Emerita at Monash University and the co-author of Kashgar: Oasis City on China’s Old Silk Road (Frances Lincoln, London, 2008) and The Cultures of Ancient Xinjiang, Western China: Crossroads of the Silk Roads (Oxford, Archaeopress, 2019). She also writes about India’s past and present.
